23rd Oct 2021, 12:00 PM Apologies for that last panel/pose. It took a lot longer to finish this page for various reasons (including getting quite sick) and I didn’t feel like fixing it, I just wanted to finally move on lol.

I named this page after a line from the song Keep the Beat from the movie Vivo.

Remember the size of the world before,
It was you and I just you and I
And now the horizon holds so much more
And it’s do or die yeah it’s do or die

I’m gonna resist the urge to apologize for how much that song speaks to me since it’s from a cartoon musical, similar to how I didn’t apologize for mentioning Madagascar a couple pages ago ƪ(‾_‾)ʃ life’s too short to be embarrassed about things that are important to you! You guys are always so awesome and understanding anyways—thank you! <33

Wow. That's so true. I've just realized that recently. No apologizing for liking anime any more. Your observations are one of the reasons I love this comic.

edit: also, the power of hugs is really underestimated.

And yes, no apologizing for that!! This is something I’ve also similarly been realizing more in recent years. It’s hard to not care what people think when you want them to like you or when you admire them, but living a life pretending to hate what you love?? In my experience, it’s absolutely exhausting and sucks the life out of you. So don’t worry about it! I think people are attracted to confidence or honesty in others anyway, even if it’s about something they don’t completely “get.” At least, that’s how I feel about people anyways ;3

Hugs are so important for our health I find. I remember my dad telling us how his family never hugged each other, and it wasn’t until after he moved out and married that he learned how to, and brought that back to his family one day. They were shocked and uncomfortable with it at first, but they eventually accepted it and became such openly affectionate grandparents to me and my siblings. It’s so amazing!

I don't think that last panel is bad honestly, but I feel you I actually recently drew a pose similar and characters physically interacting is NOT fun XD

And I agree with the other commenters, The last panel and pose looks just fine! But I get it, I recently posted a picture on Instagram, but before that I wasn't happy with the final outcome, and because of that I put it off for a while. But we love just seeing new updates! It doesn't have to be the perfect page, just the next one 👍
