On another note—I don’t know that much about perspective, or foreshortening, but it can be fun to play around with!

20th Nov 2021, 12:07 PM I think you did a pretty solid job with the perspective on that last panel, for the record.

Also, he can nettle her all he wants, but after the way she managed to clock him that one time, I highly doubt he lets his guard down around her now. I'm betting that block wasn't as effortless as he's making it out to be.

Still probably a good thing. He should be more careful and she has to learn not to telegraph her moves in a real fight.

And the bottom panel especially! The camera angle, the poses, the foreshortening, the shading, ((the toes! how do you manage to draw toes?? they're so hard to draw x'DD)), the hair movement, the way you tilted the background... it's all so good yo

though.... i imagine Kat is about to get sent flying on the next page x'D

As for how..? I had a good reference I guess. I definitely would not be able to do such detailed shading without those 3D models in posing/ref apps, same with a lot of poses in general. I’m really happy they’re accessible!

I feel like that leg would be better for balancing than kicking? She can’t feel with it so I usually think of it as her less dominant leg.

21st Nov 2021, 9:11 AM If by telegraph you mean: to communicate a message or impression to someone, or make it clear what you are going to do, often by the way you act: then I’d imagine she has difficulty doing otherwise. She’s not exactly subtle! ;)
