It’s later in the fall for the cast of S&B right now, so we can see Kat’s breath in the brisk air. I love jogging when it’s like that :)

And oh my gosh does it ever! Your tone can change how something is received as either positive or negative. I wonder if sometimes the truth can make things worse if delivered in a mean way :’(

18th Dec 2021, 3:49 PM Yup, tone/intent/context usually matters more than which specific words you use.

The worst thing about bullies was always when they'd talk to you using perfectly ordinary words, but in the most condescending tone. It creates an annoying trap: if you answer normally or politely, they snigger thinking you're too dumb to read their intentions, and if you respond negatively or ignore them, they go "wow so rude how dare you be so antisocial". Go away stupid bullies XD

18th Dec 2021, 2:37 PM You’re always free to interpret it however you like! I was thinking that she’s just running around the HQ building early in the morning though. It’s not in the middle of the city, but you can see the buildings in the distance and stuff. She’s sort of in the parking lot area. I imagine it’s surrounded by a sort of park too!

18th Dec 2021, 2:00 PM Great art/expressions! I like this montage it shows the mounting frustrations on both sides. It totally sucks when progress feels slow or stagnant , but I concur that fall/winter running is very refreshing!

On another note that's a really cool clothing design on Panel 3 :)

Haha thanks! It’s just a black thunder screentone of some sort put overtop of the hot pink layer with the opacity lowered. I’d totally wear those leggings myself ;)

18th Dec 2021, 3:51 PM I'm certainly getting a "Frustrated" vibe from Kat, but not from Kairo... I've worked with teachers like that, where the better you get, the harder they push you. Winston Churchill once said "if you feel like you're marching through Hell, the only way out is to keep marching".

I may be way of base, but I hear his internal voice saying "Better, but not good enough. I can't let up till you're good enough to take me down". That's tough, but it's good teaching.

What I REALLY want to know is how Evan is progressing though all of this. Reading books and watching DVD's will train the body, but that's not really what Evan needs

Kairo isn’t frustrated here (or at least not very) but he will be soon, not because of Kat’s lack of physical ability (she’s doing quite well in that area for the most part), but because of her frequent emotional outbursts.

Oh boy that is so true about Evan T - T I’m gonna focus on him some more after doing a bit more of Kat’s progression. I like to go back and forth with the two of them :3
