7th May 2022, 12:00 PM Idk if I was just lazier lately, or if this scene really didn’t seem to need many backgrounds Σ(-᷅_-᷄๑)
I sure had to reference that one expression though! How does it read to you guys…? I’m really hoping the right vibe came across ;)

Okay, announcement time?

You may have heard of my upcoming comic The Angel Professor—mostly because I haven’t been able to shut up about it! That’s launching on May 11! It’s a dark fantasy which follows a professor and her has-been guardian angel, reluctantly uncovering a big demonic plot deep within their hometown. It will upload every other week just like S&B, except on Wednesdays instead of Saturdays.

On the same day, my buddy The Accidental Ninja is releasing their new comic The Guarding Tree! It’s also more so in the fantasy genre, and I think you guys would really like that one too!

I’m also kind of in a weird transition period in my life right now. Work has become very hard to manage anymore now that the environment has changed due to the owners cutting down on labour costs. I’ve been very burnt out and often discouraged as I look for a different job, and get my driver’s license/learn to drive finally as well.

It is good to be moving forward in more significant ways though, and I have some very good friends helping me work through all this stuff, and having fun with them along the way too!

I’m glad this hasn’t stopped the release of The Angel Professor. Creating is a great outlet for me, and I’m glad that something good can come amidst all this which I can share with all of you! Thanks so much for being there, you guys make my day every time I upload!

And the expressions are fine! A really great range of them here! I can't decide which one I like better, that subtle-yet-deep expression in the last panel, or Muppet Kat

Also wow, Drill Sergeant to a Teenage Civilian would be a lousy job to be suddenly punted into.

"Hey I did some soul searching and realised I was being hostile because I was projecting my own regrets onto you, so actually it's for your own good!"

Run girl, he's trying to fix himself through you! It won't work and each day he'll punish you for it! RUN NOW!!!

8th May 2022, 1:20 PM Oh yikes! Yeah he definitely has some issues that he doesn’t deal with in a healthy way. But I bet Kat’s smart enough to not listen to everything he says. If it doesn’t work for her, she’ll drop it, you know?

It's nice that they were able to talk things through, but I still think both of these kids would fare better with multiple teachers, instead of one guy in over his head.

And yeah that would probably be better for them, true. They don’t just have the usual issues growing up—they also got scary powers that are potentially really dangerous :0

And I called it, Kat isn't really a super mutant; she's an impostor! She was a muppet this entire time! I'll still wait and see how my prediction for Kairo goes.

Imagine reading Kat's lines in Kermit's voice, or Evan's lines with Elmo's voice (ironic).

I mean the bottom portrait is very good too, and this whole emotional scene is interesting, but the silly stuff is memorable XD

9th May 2022, 10:45 PM All of Kat's expressions here are ace especially the 2nd one for obvious reasons XD, legendary.

This is been fantastic development for both of them, Kat's communicated how she felt and got Kairo to do the same. even if it took a bit of a push the fact that he could express that shows he was taking from his experiences and trying to help Kat in his own way. Can't wait to see where they go from here now that they're kinda of more on the same page!
